Each year, auditions for Opera Singers Initiative's upcoming season take place in October and November in New York.

Materials from performers who are interested in joining Opera Singers Initiative are accepted beginning in September. Materials requested include headshot, vocal recording and resume.

All performers who audition will be informed by the end of November if they have been accepted into Opera Singers Initiative's roster for the upcoming season.

Audition Requirements:

We accept performers based in two main categories: Young Talent and Emerging Professional. Performers will be designated in one of these main categories by the audition panel.

Audition Criteria:

Opera Singers Initiative selects our members based on the following criteria:

1) Vocal Quality
2) Dramatic Presentation
3) Language Proficiency
4) Material Preparation & Professionalism
5) Motivation & Passion
